Well, do you remember last year, when I’ve written about the Swiss Cake Festival? It’s obviously taking place again this year and is probably the sweetest temptation, that is availabe in the Swiss exhibition scene. In October 2016, I could attend the Festival for the very first time and gaze at all the marvelous cakes, that creatives from everywhere had created for the competition. You can get a little impression in this video:
For everyone who doesn’t feel to be that well versed in cake design yet to participate in a competition (and hasn’t signed up for it impulsively like I did), there is the chance to participate in various workshops. The number of participants is limited though and some of the courses are already sold out. The cutests of these workshops are for me clearly the Just Little Cakes workshop called “Roberto the bat” and Alana Lily Chocolate & Cakes – hot air balloon. Signing up will be worth it to improve your cake design skills or to form them from the beginning.
Next to the fabulous designs from the competition and the workshops, there will be again many booths for all the hobby- and professional bakers selling equipment and ingredients for your baking projects – just as there will booths for all the hobby- and professional eaters with cake, sandwiches and more. And I’m pretty convinced that this year as well the organisers have come up with some great surprises for all the visitors: Last year, every visitor could decorate their own cupcake and take it home (or eat it right away!)
The Swiss Cake Festival takes place at Stadthalle Dietikon in Fondlistrasse 15, 8953 Dietikon, 20. – 22. Oktober 2017.
Now you’re probably really in the mood to go to the Cake festival and eat some cake – but if you don’t have your tickets yet, make sure to buy them as soon as possible. Moreover, I got the chance to raffle 2 x 2 Tickets for Saturday, October 21st 2017. Sounds good? All you have to do is to follow cupventure auf Instagram and to @ the person you’d like to go with to the festival – or another friend – in this picture’s comments!
